Getting Ready to Go Back to the Office
With states and companies starting to reopen it will be very interesting to see what the future of office spaces looks like. First and foremost, safety protocols will have to be created to ensure the health and safety of the employees. Secondly, as companies reopen their businesses, it will be interesting to see if they will need to modify the layouts of the spaces to adhere to a 6 foot distancing rule and/or have a split schedule with more remote working. This will be an ebb and flow situation as we are an over reactionary society, so I am sure that companies will most likely go too far and think that they can get proper outcome with remote workers before realizing that it simply doesn’t generate the same level of productivity. In addition, humans are unique in our need for social interaction and most of the new workforce uses their office space for their sole source of human contact.
