Reno Welcomes PODS

On Wednesday, October 24th, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada announced that PODS Enterprises, LLC is opening a West Coast sales and service center in Reno, Nevada. With their headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, this West Coast location will allow the company to keep pace with their growth. Over the next two years, the company plans to hire more than 300 employees.

"PODS is excited about the expansion of our sales and customer service operations into Reno," said Eric Higdon, vice president of sales and service center operations at PODS. "We considered several locations across the nation, and Reno stood out on several key factors important to our organization. We are especially excited about the overall positive direction and growth of the city, and we look forward to a long relationship with Reno."

Reno is looking forward to a long relationship with PODS as well. "I'm thrilled that PODS Enterprises has chosen south Reno as the location for its new sales and service center," said Naomi Duerr, Reno City Councilmember and representative of Ward 2, where the center will be located. "We welcome the innovative PODS team with open arms to 'The Biggest Little City,' and we are excited that they're adding hundreds of jobs to our growing workforce."

PODS changed the way people moved when they created their company in 1998. Prior to the PODS idea, consumers were forced to choose between a full-service mover or a do-it-yourself truck rental company. Currently PODS services 46 states, Canada, Australia and has made over 3 million deliveries to date.
